Our church community is open to people of every
language, nationality, creed and colour. Situated on
the North-western edge of Paris, our community has
been here for over a century - our church building
is somewhat younger, but marked with a sense of
prayer, love and care. We believe that our Heavenly
Father has placed us here on earth to worship Him
and to follow the way of Jesus Christ; receiving
with reverence His gifts of life and grace, in
compassionate, self-giving service to our brothers
Holy Trinity Church, Maisons-Laffitte, is set in
spacious gardens not far from the Chateau, a 10 minute
walk from the RER station and with easy access by car.
Our lovely church grounds grants us fine opportunities
for social events like the Summer Fête, the Rentrée
BBQ and the Bonfire Night, and is often used by our
uniformed organisations and toddler groups, as well as
by the congregation after our Sunday services. We have
enjoyed an excellent relationship with the local
French community and our ecumenical friends, both
Catholic and Protestant.
'Nine Lessons and Carols' often takes place in one
of the Catholic churches in the area, as we can only
comfortably seat 125 in our own church. The worship
and spirituality of Holy Trinity is firmly anchored
in the Anglican and Episcopalian tradition, while
remaining deeply conscious of our indebtedness to
deeper and older streams of Christian experience. We
are also learning new attitudes and habits of the
heart from contemporary forms of Christian life! As
T.S Eliot wrote in 'Choruses from the Rock':
"What life have you if you have not life together?
There is no life that is not in community, And no
community not lived in praise of GOD".
