Holy Trinity Church, Maisons-Laffitte

The prayer network

The prayer network at Holy Trinity Church is a group of people who will pray for people and situations during their personal devotions.

A request for a particular person or situation is cascaded down the chain of the prayer network to bring the greatest effect of faith and prayer.

If you would like the power of loving prayer to help

  • yourself
  • a situation in which you find yourself
  • a friend, relative, colleague or person who is in need
  • a situation that needs prayer
please contact the prayer-net. You can do this by contacting any of the following people:
  • Rev'd Olaf Eriksson
  • the Prayer Network leader, Edith Briard

.... and here is a testimony to show that it really does work

A prayer for us and our community

Lord God, You know what we need before we ask. You know what we need that we have not thought of asking. So we ask, only to acknowledge that all we have comes from You.

We thank You for giving us Your Son, who shows us the Way and the Truth. We pray that we hear His voice, and live His Word, That we give and serve selflessly as He did, And stand up for what is right and just.

We thank you for You Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Inspiration. We are weak and without your help we can do nothing. Let Your Spirit burn away the selfishness, the greed, the pride, the cowardice and the indifference that stand in the way of doing what You command. Let Your Spirit kindle in us a burning faith that leads us through doubt and adversity.

We thank you for giving us the world in which we live. Make us worthy stewards of what you have put in our trust. And share the fruits of the earth equitably among all men. Make us work for the common good, and mindful of those in need, in closeby and faraway places. We pray especially for the leaders of the world on whose actions the happiness of so many depend. Give them wisdom and guide them along the path of peace and justice.

We thank you for giving us the companionship of family and friends, especially the fellowship of this Church. We pray for Trevor and Debbie, and the many others who are devoted to making this chaplaincy a loving and caring community, that they find their burden easy. Help us to bring up our children; give them your grace so they may become followers of Christ. We pray for our parents and grandparents, that they find calm and contentment in old age.

We pray for those have departed this life, whose lives have touched ours, and whom we love. Give them your peace.

Finally, help and guide us in the many difficult circumstances that afflict our world and our lives. Give us hope when all appears meaningless and and help us see Your purpose amidst the confusion. Comfort and heal those who are ill, those who suffer in mind or body, those who are victims of war, catastrophy or accident.

All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son, Our Lord.
