Simon Tennant’s Funeral Service

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of one of our church members, Simon Tennant, who died suddenly last Thursday evening. Simon was an active member of our church family for many years, serving as treasurer and singing in the choir amongst many other things. We will miss him immensely, and ask that you hold his wife, Pascale, and daughter, Clara, in your prayers.

Simon’s funeral service will take place at Holy Trinity Church on Friday 11th December at 2.30pm.
Le service funéraire de Simon aura lieu à l’Eglise Holy Trinity le vendredi 11 décembre à 14h30.

Due to the very restricted numbers of people allowed in church, we invite you to click here to join the live-stream service (from 2.25pm)
En raison du nombre très limité de personnes autorisées dans l’église, nous vous invitons à cliquer ici pour rejoindre le service de diffusion en direct (à partir de 14h25)

  • Phil Harvey says:

Dear Pascale, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Simon was a real character and I have very fond memories of our adventures back in IBJ days. As Patrick already said, he and I only heard the sad news just before Christmas, so our thoughts have been with you and Clara since, especially over the festive period.
It was good to have the opportunity to catch up with Simon in recent years, over the odd lunch in London with Patrick. That impish sparkle was still in his eye and the dry humour never far away. He will live on in all our memories of him. God bless you.
Rest in peace, Simon. Phil Harvey

  • Patrick Dennis says:

Hi I only just heard of the shock passing of Simon a person who I knew from our time working at Industrial Bank of Japan in the late 80s and 90s. He was a lovely person and we often met up for lunch in the City even as recently as 3 or 4 years ago when he was over. I remember also playing golf with him and friends Phil Harvey and Lee Chandler (the latter sadly deceased) on a number of occasions. May he rest in peace. Patrick Dennis

  • Graziella Bertero-Fouqueray says:

May Simon’s Soul rest In Peace but I’m sure it is already

  • Nancy Prendergast says:

Dear Pascale and Clara: I am with you this morning as you celebrate Simon’s life and love for you both. Simon was a lovely man, a wonderful Dad and devoted husband, who adored you both. I will always remember his kindness to me, too. I hold you close today as you say goodbye. May you find peace.

  • Les & Jill Dawson says:

Simon was my wife Jills cousin, but when we got to know each other we became good friends, for years he would spend weekends with us and we would play golf on Saturdays, meals on Saturday night and he would go home on Sundays.
Then he met Pascale and moved to Paris, but we still kept in touch and would see each other at Christmas if he came to UK.
Simon was one of a kind, our love and thoughts go out to Pascale Clara and Mavis. We will be thinking of you all on Today.

  • Dr Susan Monks says:

Greetings from England. I am a friend of Jean-Yves Bosse-Vidal who sang at Simon’s wedding. I am a Licensed Reader in
Chichester Harbour Church and I will be praying for the family & all friends at your lovely church at this sad time. Love & prayers, Come Lord Jesus.
