This Lent, we will explore the theme of hospitality together by reading Meeting Jesus at the Table by Cynthia M. Campbell and Christine Coy Fohr.
In the Gospels, we often find Jesus sharing meals with friends, strangers, and disciples alike. Again and again, food and hospitality become part of how he teaches, builds relationships, and reveals God’s love. As we journey through the book, we’ll use a dedicated WhatsApp group to reflect on the wisdom Jesus shares as we find him “multiplying bread to feed a whole crowd, relaxing with his inner circle, or telling curious elites stories about even greater banquets”.

LENT LUNCHES
Alongside this shared reading, we’re also inviting you to take part in Lent Lunches.
Click here to sign up for our Lent Lunches
The idea is easy: some people will offer to host, others to be guests, and we’ll match you up.
Hosts will invite a small group into their home for a simple lunch (eg. soup & bread).
Groups will meet once during Lent, at a time that works for everyone, and enjoy conversation, connection, and a chance to get to know one another better (with a clear finish time).
These simple gatherings are a chance to offer and receive hospitality and to spend some unhurried time together. Everyone is welcome - whether you’ve been part of this community for decades or are just beginning to join in.
Please fill in this form by Sunday 15th February so we can match groups well.
We hope you’ll consider taking part and pulling up a chair at the table this Lent!
