I regret to inform you of the death of Beryl Jones MBE. Her funeral will be held next Monday, February 7th at 2.30 p.m. in the Eglise St Justin, 1 place d’Estienne d’Orves, 92300 Levallois Perret.
Beryl had lived in France for over 50 years. She was the first lady chairman of the BCC and had instigated the idea of the BCC events diary after having tried to visit three church Christmas sales all organised on the same day. She had been on the Management Committee of the British Hertford Hospital and a member of many British associations, including the RBL, the RSSG, the Caledonian Society of France, the BCWA and the Cardew Club. She was awarded the MBE in 1991 for service to the British Community in France.
